CNC classes get balanced schedule

The College of New Caledonia is making class schedules easier for students.

Beginning in September, 90 percent of university studies courses will have balanced scheduling.

Dean of the School of University, Dr. Chad Thompson, says the old model only worked for students who solely attended CNC.

“It doesn’t work well if you’ve got students who have jobs, who’ve got children, who’ve got family commitments. So we made this change so that if you are taking Biology at 9 o’clock on Monday, it will be at 9 o’clock on Wednesday, and 9 o’clock on Friday.”

Thompson says it took a lot of effort from faculty to adjust their own class lengths and delivery styles in order to make this work.
