BCHL

Prince George Spruce Kings: 2  vs  West Kelowna Warriors: 1

The Spruce Kings came out on top of West Kelowna last night in a battle for second place in the Interior division.

Austin Fraser scored both of the Spruce Kings goals, unanswered for the win.

The Spruce Kings now sit 13-6-1-1, only behind (still undefeated) Penticton.

West Kelowna fell to 12-6-2-0, third in the Interior division.

They will rematch tonight at 7:00.

WHL

The Cougars will host the Kamloops Blazers in a battle for first place in the BC Division tonight.

The Cougars are riding a four game win streak as their high-powered offense soars in November – scoring four or more goals in all but one of their ten games this month.

Kamloops is coming off a 3-2 loss to Moose Jaw on home ice last night.

The Cougars sit two points ahead of Kamloops right now for first in BC and third in the west, though Kamloops has played three fewer games.

NHL

There are eight games in the NHL tonight – after Columbus and Nashville’s matchup was postponed due to plumbing issues in the Predators’ arena.

Four Canadian teams are on the road today –

Edmonton @ NYR (10:00 am)

Calgary @ Carolina (1:00 pm)

Toronto @ Pittsburgh (4:00 pm)

Vancouver @ Vegas (7:00 pm)

USports Basketball

Men’s – UNBC Timberwolves: 95  vs  Calgary Dinos: 92

It came down to the wire for the T-Wolves last night, a missed Calgary buzzer beater sealed the deal for their fourth win of the season.

The T-wolves are now 4-3, and will rematch Calgary tonight. They have split every weekend doubleheader so far this season.

Women’s – UNBC Timberwolves: 86  vs  Calgary Dinos: 79

The women also won their game yesterday – their first win of the season.

They will also play the Dinos again tonight.

FIFA World Cup

Canada will play their second game of the World Cup against Croatia tomorrow at 8:00 am.

They lost their first game to Belgium 1-0 earlier this week.
