Spirit of the North receives $180,000 donation from Costco

The Costco Kids Campaign has been supporting the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation for nearly 30 years, but this year was extra special.

The campaign raised $82,526.14 which will go towards youth hospital care and equipment in the northern BC region.

An additional $100,000 was donated by Prince George’s Costco, bringing the total to $182,526.14.

“This would not have been possible without the great job and efforts from our Employees as well as the generous donations from our Members and Vendors,” said Todd Forsyth, the General Manager of Costco Prince George.

“We are so thankful and truly humbled by the generosity of Costco Prince George”, said Aimee Cassie, CEO for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

“This team never ceases to amaze with their dedication to supporting our pediatric patients throughout the Region. They work hard to promote the campaign and the generosity of their members shines through- This year is extra special. It is such a privilege to celebrate their success by impacting the care our NICU babies receive with the addition of the Giraffe Carestations.”

In previous years, donations from Costco have also gone towards purchasing a Diagnostic SPECT CT, Panda Warmer, Infant Transport Incubator, and Enteral Feeding Pumps.
