SURVEY SAYS CANADIANS SPEND MORE FREELY IN SUMMER

Money seems to fly out of people’s pockets in the summer according to Tangerine Bank.

A recent survey showers 52 percent of the population adopts a care free attitude towards spending in the summer.

During patio season food, drink and entertainment is cited as the number one reason for increased spending followed by weekend trips and vacations.

62 percent of people aged 18 to 34 are most likely to put their budget on ice, while 50 percent of Canadians between the ages of 35 to 54 go over board.
