High jumper Alyx Treasure of Prince George has been named by Athletics Canada to the 2015 Pan Am Games team.

She is one of 43 women and 89 athletes that will wear Track and Field Canadian colors in Toronto. The women’s high jump is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd.

As a tune-up, the 23-year-old Treasure will participate in the 2015 Canadian Track and Field Championships July 2 to 5 in Edmonton. The Nationals also serve as the selection Trials for the World Championships this summer and the Panamerican Junior Championships, also to be held in Edmonton (July 31 – August 2).

Treasure is one of three P.G. athletes that will compete in the Pan Am Games. The others are Inner City boxer Kenny Lally and women’s baseball player Amanda Asay.

–The Westwood Pub Devils increased their win streak to 36 games in Prince George Senior Lacrosse following a 20-4 victory over the Northland/Nissan Assault. The Devils ended the regular season 12-0 outscoring the opposition 202-51. The same two teams will meet in the playoffs next week.

–The WHL regular season schedule will be released Wednesday.
