HARKINS SET FOR NHL DRAFT

Jansen Harkins is preparing for tomorrow night’s NHL Draft from Sunrise, Florida.

The PG Product and 15th ranked North American skater says he’s spoken to several teams but does not know who will draft him.

“I don’t there really has been one that has stood out from everyone else, I think most teams I have talked to, I’ve had good interviews with and there’s some teams I have talked to more throughout the year and I honestly don’t have a clue with where I am going to go, like I said before we just have to wait and see what happens”

Harkins had 79 points this year with the Cougars last year and set a franchise record with 59 assists.

He also had 5 points in 7 games at the Under 18’s in April for Team Canada.

Brad Morrison and Tate Olson from the Cougars could also hear there names called in the later rounds and Harkins says the future in PG is bright and the draft experience would be that much sweeter if all three got picked.

“We have a pretty good core group in Prince George with some younger guys that are my age and some guys who are older and younger, it only adds to the depth if they do get drafted, I think they can and I believe they will on the weekend so good luck to those two and even potentially a few other guys as well”

The draft begins at 3:30 pacific time on Friday.
