Method Dance Society tuning up for first Community Moves Festival

The Method Dance Society will be hosting its first Community Moves Festival.

The four-day festival will host workshops, classes, and performances in collaboration with local musicians, actors, photographers and visual artists.

These classes and performances will take place in various locations around Prince George, including Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and the Prince George Playhouse.

Performances will start on May 24th at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park with a community warm-up, an outdoor jam session, and free arts-based performances and installations.

The Playhouse Performance series will take place from May 25th to 27th.

“We have been waiting for a long time to create a project that is rooted in collaborative creation and live performance,” says Artistic Director Shelby Richardson.

“Watching the creativity and excitement pouring out of these artists is truly inspiring. It is so wonderful to see the the overwhelming support Community Moves has garnered from within our community and beyond.”
