This year’s Northern FanCon could be one of the biggest yet.
“We have more booths this year than we’ve ever had at FanCon before,” said FanCon founder Norm Coyne.
“I would say nearly double the selection of what we usually see at FanCon as far as pop culture items, and anything from tattoo booths, to toys, to games, all that kind of stuff.”
“The guest list is always something that people that turn out for and this year is no different,” Coyne added.
“One of the highlights, personally for me, and we always get a lot of play out of it, is Marc Bernardin, who is a host of Fatman Beyond with Kevin Smith is going to be recording a live podcast that’s going to be broadcast onto Kevin Smith’s Youtube channel called Blackman Beyond, where he’s going to be interviewing Emily Swallow, who is the Armorer from the Mandalorian,” Coyne said.
Coyne added there will be an area outside of the CN Centre with food trucks, bouncy castles, and kids games.
“It’s just a little taste for folks that maybe aren’t going to make it into the event, but of course we highly encourage everybody to come join us and have a good time inside, but there will be stuff going on outside as well.”
