The Prince George area has received 1.6 Million dollars in funding as part of a local priorities initiative in BC.
Prince George-Mackenzie MLA, Mike Morris breaks down the funding for each community.
“Prince George has received 719 thousand in traffic fine revenue since the program began, Fraser-Fort George regional district received 119 thousand and Mackenzie has received 324 thousand.”
Over 75 million dollars is being invested across BC to meet needs such as policing, new equipment, community safety initiatives, infrastructure and service delivery programs.
Other communities who received a community grant include McBride and Valemont who received 238 and 240 thousand dollars respectively.
