FIRE RESCUE RESPONDS TO EARLY MORNING CALL

The Prince George Fire Rescue responded to an early morning call in the city.

Acting Assistant Fire Chief, John Law explains the situation.

“There was a patient on the Cameron Street bridge, upon arrival our units found RCMP at the scene and found a female person secured to the outside of the railing of the bridge.”

Law adds it is not known whether emergency crews stopped a suicide attempt.

“None of that was known at the time and as of this time the lady was rescued successfully and she was treated by ambulance.”

One member of the high angle team went over the bridge to secure the female.

The call came in just before 5 o’clock.
