PAINTED PIANOS DRAWING RAVE REVIEWS FROM RESIDENTS

The recycling part for painted pianos in Prince George has been cancelled due to popular demand.

Project Coordinator, Peter Stevenson says one of them will get an extended stay at the city airport.

“The administrator at the airport contacted me several days ago and they said it had such a lot of use at the airport and their was so much excitement that they asked if they could keep it until after the centennial celebration.

The piano will then find it’s way to the Two Rivers Art Gallery.

Another piano will be headed to the Dreamland School of Art.

Five pianos were placed in five public spaces as part of a 10 day event before three of them were to be recycled, but that idea has been scrapped due to the glowing reviews from residents and organizations.
