The Prince George Cougars officially open training camp today.
Cougars Captain, Sam Ruopp says it should be a strong camp.
“It’s going to be a lot of competition and guys will be working very hard.”
Ruopp adds with a strong returning group the team has high expectations.

“We have a lot of veterans out there, this is our year we made the playoffs last year, we made a big step and this year I think we can do a lot more.
Camp concludes on Monday with the annual Black and White game at 7pm from the CN Centre.
The Cougars begin exhibition play on the road against the Kamloops Blazers on September 4th.
