Spartans sting Timberwolves

The UNBC Lady Timberwolves could not take advantage of home cooking tonight (Fri) against the ninth ranked Trinity Western Spartans in women’s soccer.

The Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half courtesy of goals from Alessandra Oliverio and Vanessa Kovacks.

In the second half, Lianna Toopitsin replaced Jordan Hall in net for the Timberwolves.

Trinity Western added another marker in the second half off the foot of Jenaya Robertson.

The Timberwolves fall to 0-4-1 and will play the sixth ranked Fraser Valley Cascades on Sunday at noon.

The men play at home tomorrow and Sunday at 2:15 against the Cascades.
