Spruce Kings add Korean import to the roster

Even with no games scheduled until after Christmas, the Prince George Spruce Kings remained active in the transaction department.

Today (Monday), the BCHL club signed 20-year-old forward Min Joon Huh for the remainder of the campaign.

Huh is a 6’1, 175 pound forward from Seoul, Korea who has been playing with Korea University this season. He also played three games as a member of the Korean Men’s team at the Asia Championship this season.

Last season, Huh captained the Korean team at the 2024 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship Division II, Group A tournament, finishing the event as the tournament’s Best Forward, with 5 goals and 8 assists in 5 games.

“Min Joon is an extremely talented player whose hockey IQ combined with his skating ability will make him a threat when he’s on the ice. We are thrilled to add him to our team,” added general manager Mike Hawes.

PG (9-15-2-1) is back in action December 28th (6pm) and 29th (3pm) when they host the Nanaimo Clippers (10-15-2-0) at the Kopar Memorial Arena.
