Prince George City Council is meeting this evening for it’s regular meeting.
The PG Horse Society will be making a presentation to council requesting relief from their utility bills paid to the city for three years in response to rising expenses. They cite a 400% increase in the price of bedding shavings and maintenance costs in the ageing facility.
Council will also discuss sending an application to UBCM for an $20,000 ‘age friendly grant’ that would allow this city to develop an ‘age friendly action plan’ to help make Prince George more inclusive and accessible for seniors.
Telus is also asking for tweaks to a bylaw that will allow it to replace the large banner in the side of it’s downtown building.
The meeting starts at 6 in council chambers.
