Finning International says the Prince George branch will not be affected by today’s cuts.
The world’s largest Caterpillar dealer announced today 1,100 people are out of work including 440 from Western Canada; 11 branches will face the axe.
Hillary Anaka with Finning International says the majority of the BC cuts will impact the Fort Nelson and Sparwood branches.
The move was prompted by falling new equipment sales, which are down 27 percent.
