Wild edge Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings dropped game one of their three game Mainland Division road trip tonight (Fri) losing 2-1 to the Wenatchee Wild.

Prince George opened the scoring on the power play just 2:48 into the first period on a Jake LeBrun shot to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

Wenatchee would take the lead in the middle frame scoring twice off the sticks of Matthew Baker and Logan Milliken.

Both teams would fail to score in the third.

The Spruce Kings were outshot 27-19.

Sam Tanguay made 25 saves in the loss.

Prince George will be back in action tomorrow (Sat) against the Chilliwack Chiefs and will complete the swing on Sunday in Surrey.
