PG’s Women In Charge talk Leadership

UNBC and CDI will be hosting a panel discussion on Women in Leadership on Monday.

MLA Shirley Bond and City Councillor Jillian Merrick as well as former Mackenzie Mayor Stephanie Kellam and local Entrepreneur Shauna Harper will be talking about the changing perception of women in leadership, as well as the challenges they’ve faced in their own careers.

“They are women that have leadership roles and they see the importance of encouraging and providing information to other women that would like to follow in their steps” said Marli Bodhi with CDI. “It is really about inspiring women, inspiring people that maybe have a passion in their community, and helping them take those extra steps to excel in those leadership positions.”

The panel is part of UNBC’s Inspiring Women Among Us series. Bodhi hopes the talk will empower women in the community.
