Operation Red Nose set for opening weekend

With a month until Christmas their will be no shortage of parties in Prince George.

Those wanting a safe ride home can look no further than Operation Red Nose which begins it’s 2015 campaign on Friday.

Spokesperson, Andrea Johnson says volunteers are still needed.

“Right now we have 168 volunteers but applications are still being accepted and if people apply on-line today (Wed) they will be able to help out this weekend.”

Anyone 19 years of age or older can fill out an application at www.ornpg.ca.

Last year, 1,123 safe rides were provided which ranked 2nd out of 13 BC communities.

The free seasonal service is organized by the Rotary Club of Prince George-Nechako along with the RCMP and ICBC.
