NDP MLA’s visiting green innovation sites in PG

Two provincial New Democrats are in Prince George viewing some green-friendly facilities.

NDP MLA, George Heyman says it’s been a positive experience up to this point.

“Very excited to see the use of waste-wood at Pinnacle Renewable Energy, we visited the city’s District Energy System and we are soon to meet UNBC students and instructors to see their activities in bio-energy and innovation.”

He adds they have been very impressed so far.

“Every initiative we see, every innovator we speak with teaches us something new about what’s been accomplished in BC and what the possibilities of the future are and it helps us to deliver good ideas and new ideas.”

The NDP’s Lana Popham also made the trip.

They believe the city is very forward-looking when it comes to the District Energy System and how Mayor and council is trying to market those energy solutions to new customers.
