Wild drop Spruce Kings

The Wenatchee Wild blew out the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings Friday 6-1.

Joseph Drabin and Troy Conzo put the Wild on the board for a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Ben Poisson cut the deficit in half at 1:36 of the second to make it 2-1.

Wenatchee would regain its two goal advantage courtesy of Dakota Raabe to go up 3-1 at the conclusion of two periods.

The Wild would score three more in the third period from Charlie Combs, Colin Burston and Kyle Stephan.

Liam McCloskey made 19 saves on 24 shots before he was replaced in the third period while Chase Perry picked up the win making only 16 saves.

Both teams play again tonight (Saturday) in Wenatchee.

The Spruce Kings also face off Sunday in Coquitlam.
