PG RCMP thanks public for support

A letter from Superintendent Eric Stubbs:

“Dear Editor,

The loss of three police officers has been felt throughout the law enforcement community and the communities that we serve. On behalf of the Prince George RCMP, I would like to sincerely thank those members of the public and businesses that have provided support for the RCMP, its members, staff and families during this difficult time.

Since this tragedy occurred, the Prince George Detachment and our provincial colleagues at the North District Headquarter building on 5th Avenue have been receiving steady streams of support through letters, e-mails, flowers, and baked goods. Members of the public have honked, waved and provided generous acts of kindness towards our officers. Businesses have honoured our fallen officers by lowering their flags to half mast, something that is not required of them, but very much appreciated.

We are deeply moved by the people of Prince George and surrounding communities. Thank you for showing us your kindness and compassion.

Yours truly,

Eric Stubbs, Superintendent

Officer In Charge

Prince George RCMP Detachment”
