Provincial dollars are expected to help a first of its kind labour training program in Prince George. Over $113,000 dollars is going to “Room Keys” that trains people to work in hotels. Canadian Vocational Training Centre President Cal Purcell says the program has already seen 15 people go through the instruction.
Purcell says the Room Keys helps people get entry level work in hotels. He says the hospitality industry in Northern BC is in of qualified and certified individuals to work in the the sector.
