Prince George residents will be able collect a free truck load of compost on Sunday.
From 8a-12p, anyone who brings a non-perishable food item for St. Vincent de Paul’s Society will get a free bag of NorGrow Compost.
But Program Leader Racheal Ryder says there is one condition. “We are looking for people in pick-up trucks or trailers, but if you have a car with buckets we have a separate area set aside where you can fill up.”
Ryder adds bringing any garbage to the Foothills Boulevard Landfill on Sunday morning is not recommended.
“We strongly recommend if you are coming to the event that you do not bring garbage. If you bring any you will have to process through the scale twice which delays the process.”
The event is being hosted by the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.
