Rising meat prices raise inflation rate

The national consumer price index hit 2.3% last month, the first time in over two years it rose above 2%

StatsCan analyst Julia White says BC has the lowest increase for consumer prices.

StatsCan says higher meat and energy prices have driven the inflation rate up, but the news has also pushed the Loonie up to over 92 cents US.
