A former College of New Caledonia director has been recognized for her contributions to the Burns Lake area.
Cathy Ashurst is one recipient of this year’s BC Achievement Award.
Ashurst was nominated for the work she and her team did with high risk people in the Bulkley-Nechako region.
Ashurst was also instrumental for her work in education and prevention of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Ashurst was a regional director of CNC’s Burns Lake campus for 25 years.
