It was another narrow vote, but Prince George City Council decided to rescind their controversial rental property licence.
As Council debated Monday night during a public hearing among several frustrated land lords, it was narrowly decided five votes to four to rescind the bylaw.
Mayor Shari Green says the $183,000 collected will be refunded.
Some property owners who spoke against the bylaw say they feel discriminated against, and wouldn’t want to pay any fee, regardless of how small.
The issue will come by council one final time to officially rescind the bylaw.
