BC Coroners Service identifies man who drowned near Vanderhoof

The BC Coroners Service has released the name of a young man who drowned in Arthur Lake, near Vanderhoof, on the BC Day weekend.

He was Gregory Teichroeb, 25, of Vanderhoof.

On July 30, Teichroeb was fishing with a friend in a four-metre aluminium boat when the boat flipped, throwing both into the water. The other person swam to shore, but Teichroeb disappeared.

Search and Rescue teams recovered his body on Wednesday, August 3.

The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Teichroeb has been notified of his death and the BC Coroners Service continues to investigate the incident.
