Even though a Prince George woman didn’t place atop the voting in Walmart’s Mom of the Year contest, she’s still a winner.
Jolene Paquette was one of twenty mothers across the country selected for the contest that honours mom’s in Canada.
Paquette says with being in the top 20 she gets $500 for a charity of her choice which she has decided to donate to the Autism Society of BC in Prince George.
Paquette also gets $500 to spend on herself.
She was nominated for the contest after holding a community birthday party for her 12 year old autistic son.
