Gang squad busts two with weapons cache in the VLA

Two people are in custody after a traffic stop in Prince George discovered drugs, guns and a knife in the vehicle.

On Sept 23rd, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-BC) were patrolling a residential neighbourhood.

A blue Mercury Marquis appeared to be accelerating away from a police check and made several turns to avoid police. The license plate was actually registered to a red Ford Taurus.

The car was eventually stopped on the 2200 block of Norwood Street. A man and woman was in the vehicle.

In plain view, officers located a spring assisted knife, a bag of an unknown substance believed to be street level drugs, and a baseball bat in the vehicle. Further searching found a loaded shotgun, a loaded .22 cal rifle, and ammunition.

21 year old Dylan Leslie Prince has been charged with twelve different weapons charges. 26 year old Shayla Rae Crispin has been charged with fourteen weapons counts.

“These two individuals both have a lengthy criminal record and thankfully, our officers were there to disrupt whatever activities they were up to by taking away their guns and drugs,” said S/Sgt. Lindsey Houghton, spokesperson for the CFSEU-BC.

The CFSEU-BC would like to thank the Prince George RCMP for their assistance with this file.
