24 bike riders from Texas are in the city on their way to Alaska.
They are part of the Texas 4000 ride that raises money for cancer research.
Ride Director Ben Morse says the three pillars of the ride are hope, knowledge and charity.
Morse says the riders are also students at the University of Texas at Austin and stay with host families at every stop they make.
He says they hope to raise $600,000 through the cancer fundraising ride.
