New leader at Traffic Services

The RCMP’s North District Traffic Services has a new leader.

Staff Sergeant Reinhold Weissbock is replacing Pat McTiernan as the Unit Commander for the Prince George Regional Provincial Traffic Services unit.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson says Weissbock has spent the last 17 years in traffic services.

“He comes to us from Kamloops, however did spend some time in Quesnel in the north. So he’s certainly familiar with the geographics of this area, and the unit priorities of traffic.”

Saunderson says Staff Sergeant Pat McTiernan has moved into the Operations Supervisor position.

Right now traffic services is in the middle of their Summer Counterattack Campaign, focusing on high risk driving, impaired and distracted driving, as well as proper seatbelt use.
