A collection of community groups have come together to launch a campaign to raise money for first Nations to fight Enbridge in the courts.
The Sierra Club’s Caitlyn Vernon says some First Nations will be fighting to stop the pipeline in court – an expensive undertaking.
Vernon says legal challenges are an expensive burden for small communities and the legal battle will benefit many.
She says some community groups have already raised about fifteen thousand and they are hoping to raise approximately one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars to start.
