A logging truck has collided with a train near Decker Lake.
Burns Lake RCMP cpl. Jack Ashford says at approximately seven am the train struck the truck at a logging road crossing.
“We attended the scene and there were no injuries,” he sys. “However, as a precaution, the driver of the logging truck was taken to the hospital, so that he can be checked out to make sure everything is fine.”
He says CN rail has been advised of the situation.
The accident has caused a derailment of the train however, according to Ashford there is currently only minor amounts of diesel leaking from the crippled logging truck.
