The Lheidli T’enneh are mourning the passing of a longtime councillor and former chief. Elder Frank Frederick Senior passed away earlier this week at the University Hospital. Lheidli T’enneh Executive Director Jason Morgan says Frederick was a well respected elder in the community.
“He was a very participatory member and very active in our community with regards to our community engagement as well as being a representative for Lheidli at various meetings with government, industry and education institutions.”
Morgan says Frederick was keen on shaping the future of the Lheidli T’enneh. Funeral services for Frederick will be on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
