The UNBC Timberwolves are gearing up to begin their CIS soccer regular season. The T-wolves kick off against UBC Okanagan of Kelowna in doubleheader action Saturday at noon (women) and 2:15 (men) and Sunday at 10am and noon at the Rotary NCSSL fields.

–The Prince George Spruce Kings are down to 24 players (2 goalies, 7 defencemen and 15 forwards). 7 of those players are from P.G. The Spruce Kings cut goalies Bailey DePalma and Liam McCloskey plus forward Jacob Malloch & defenceman Tavis Roch following that 9-2 pre-season loss to Salmon Arm. The Spruce Kings next pre-season game will again be against Salmon Arm on Tuesday in 100 Mile House.

–The Prince George Cougars, 1-0-1 in exhibition play, host the Edmonton Oil Kings in pre-season action Friday and Saturday at CN Centre.

–The Major Midget Cariboo Cougars will play four exhibition games in Kelowna starting Friday against the Kootenay Ice.

–The season long points chase will come to an end when PGARA holds its final race day on Saturday. The Hornets, Mini stocks and Street stocks take to the track with time trials at 6pm followed by racing at 7.
