The LA Kings beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 in an exhibition game today.
It was the first NHL game played in China.
The same two teams play again Saturday in Beijing on Saturday.

PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS:
The 52nd Western Hockey League (WHL) regular season is one day away.
The Prince George Cougars first ever banner will be showcased prior to puck-drop Friday when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
The same two teams also meet on Saturday at the CN Centre.
All five BC Division teams play on opening night.
PRINCE GEORGE SPRUCE KINGS:
The Prince George Spruce Kings put a three-game win streak on the line when they play the Merritt Centennials Friday morning at 10AM at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack.
The 3-0-0-1 Spruce Kings also face the Victoria Grizzlies Saturday afternoon at 4PM.
PG has outscored its opposition 22-8.
CARIBOO COUGARS:
The defending BC-champion Cariboo Cougars begin their Major Midget hockey season with a pair of home games.
Cariboo will host the Valley West Hawks Saturday afternoon at 4PM and Sunday morning at 10AM at Kin 1.
NHL EXHIBITION (Wednesday in Calgary):
The Vancouver Canucks’ split squad defeated the Calgary Flames 5-3 in the ScotiaBank SaddleDome Wednesday night.
UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:
The UNBC Timberwolves are home for the women and on the road for the men in Canada West Soccer this weekend.
The 2-2 UNBC women will host Trinity Western Friday at 6PM and Fraser Valley Sunday at noon.
The 2-3-3 UNBC men will visit MacEwan Saturday and Lethbridge Sunday.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (from Wednesday):
The Toronto Blue Jays lost 15-5 to the Kansas City Royals in the second game of a three game series.
NFL:
Week three of the NFL season kicks off tonight with the 1-1 Los Angeles Rams at the 0-2 San Francisco 49ers.
CFL:
CFL resumes this weekend with a pair of Friday games.
