BC government launches new campaign attracting students North-bound

The BC government has launched a new advertising campaign to attract post-secondary students to the north
StudyNorthBC.ca is an $500,000 online movement showcasing educational possibilities outside of the Lower Mainland
“People are not going to come up to what they don’t know. So we need to bring those tools to them; we have a beautiful province, we have a lot to offer, and what this campaign shows is that there is a different way of learning and that there’s a lot to offer in the north.”
Melanie Mark, Minister of Advanced Education
The website boasts smaller class sizes, hands-on training, and affordable student life
Major institutions included are UNBC, CNC, Northwest, and Northern Lights College
