Cougars earned four out of a possible six points during in a three game Alberta swing.

The Hitmen won the shootout 3-2.

Taylor Gauthier made 39 saves in his hometown as Calgary outshot PG, 40-34.

The Lady Timberwolves finish the regular season 3-7-4 landing them into the Canada West playoffs for the first time.

The UNBC women play Calgary (third in the Prairie Division) Friday in Victoria with the winner to advance to the quarter-finals.

The UNBC men’s soccer team has also made the Canada West playoffs for the first time.

They advanced to the post-season on Saturday after UBC Okanagan tied TRU 1-1 and Victoria lost 4-2 to Trinity Western.

The Timberwolves will visit Alberta (first in Prairie Division) in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

 

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

The World Series will start in Los Angeles with the first two games on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Astros won the ALCS in seven games over the New York Yankees where the home team won each game.
