PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS:

Medicine Hat Tigers                  7             Prince George Cougars            4

The Tigers stunned the crowd of 2,384 as they erased a 3-1 deficit with six goals in the third period, five of them unanswered in the first 11 minutes.

Medicine Hat struck twice on the power play and another shorthanded.

The loss ended the Cougars season-high three game win streak.

Same teams meet again tonight at the CN Centre.

Dennis Cholowski wore the “C” on Tuesday night after he was named the PG Cougars 23rd captain in team history.

The alternate captains are Josh Anderson and Brogan O’Brien.

John Pateman is replacing Greg Pocock as President of the P.G. Cougars.

Pocock will continue in his role as team Governor.

Both Pocock and Pateman are part of the six-men ownership group that also includes Ray Fortier, Ernest Ouellet, Eric Brewer, and Dan Hamhuis.

UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:

The UNBC Timberwolves resume Canada West basketball action on Friday and Saturday when they visit the MacEwan Griffins.

 

NFL:

Each NFL team has just six regular season games remaining.

Week 12 starts on Thursday, the American Thanksgiving, with three games beginning with 8-2 Minnesota at 6-4 Detroit.

 

CFL:

The Calgary Stampeders are seven-point favourites over the Toronto Argonauts in Sunday’s 105th Grey Cup game in Ottawa.

Kickoff is 3:30PM Pacific.

 

NBA:

The 11-5 Toronto Raptors have three road games in four nights starting this evening in New York.

The Raptors also play at Indiana Friday and Atlanta Saturday.
