Police looking for public’s help in summer firearm robbery

On July 23rd, a Bear Lake resident came home early in the morning to find his home had been broken into and nearly 75 firearms had been stolen.

He then saw three male suspects escape in a White Ford F-350.

This has Prince George RCMP asking the public for help in identifying the people responsible, and the vehicle used, for the incident.

About 75 firearms were stolen during the incident and investigators were able to recover about 35 stashed off a rural road west of Prince George, with up to 40 left unfound.

The white Ford F-350 is described as:

  • 2014 or newer Crew Cab Diesel pick-up,
  • Heavy duty angle, brushed aluminum bush bumper,
  • “Super Duty” on the front of the hood,
  • Silver “6.7 L Power Stroke” medallion style badge in front of the driver and passenger doors,
  • Black after-market “Fuel” brand rims,
  • White fender extensions,
  • Has a lift kit and dark tinted rear windows,
  • In the bed of the truck, there was a large rectangular black metal storage box against the cab.

Investigators are hoping the detailed description of the truck will allow the public to help identify the truck or suspects.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact PG RCMP or Crimestoppers.
