Day one of Community Christmas complete

Material raised from day one of Community Christmas | Matt Fetinko, My PG Now

One down, one to go for this year’s Community Christmas and it was a success with boxes on boxes of donations and over $2,400 for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.

The two-day event is a way to raise donations for the holiday season for SVDP.

“Toys, we give a week’s groceries, plus all the makings for Christmas dinner with the turkey and all the trimmings,” says SVDP President Bernie Goold.

“So anything that you would be putting in your grocery cart this week would be very welcomed.”

Goold says Prince George never disappoints when it comes to being charitable.

“Prince George always comes through for us, we are really blessed.

“We see many, many miracles from the community.”

Day two of the drive runs from 6:00am to 6:00pm at the Vista Radio station on the corner of Ferry Avenue and Ospika Boulevard.
