Operation Red Nose in PG pulls through for party-goers in week two

It was another productive weekend for Operation Red Nose in Prince George who offered 200 people a lift to their house.

“On Friday, we provided 71 safe rides home and that’s compared to 69 that we did the year before and on Saturday we provided 127 safe rides home so both nights were really busy,” says Andrea Johnson, Spokesperson.

So far, 360 rides have been provided during the 2017 campaign.

Johnson adds it’s been a smooth campaign up to this point.

“The key thing is that everybody is getting a safe ride home and with five nights left in our season that’s still really good, we’re looking forward to this weekend and then taking a break for Christmas and then we’re back on the road on December 29th.”

Operation Red Nose is still looking for volunteers during their New Year’s Eve run as they want 35 teams on the road.

Crews did not run into any issues with expired auto insurance, unlike the previous weekend.
