The Cougars led 2-1 after two periods but they allowed four goals in the third period for the third straight game.

Aaron Boyd and Josh Maser each notched a goal and an assist while Vladislav Mikhalchuk also tallied for Prince George.

The 12-15-3-2 Cougars visit Everett tonight and Vancouver Sunday in their final action prior to the Christmas break.

Two Prince George Spruce Kings, forwards Ethan de Jong, and Kyle Johnson are part of Canada West who will play in the gold medal game today at the World Junior A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Canada West faces the defending champions from the United States in the final (11AM Pacific).

The Major Midget Cougars have won 16 of their last 18 and are in second place, four points behind the 19-3-1 Valley West Hawks.
