Semi trailer kills two pedestrians

Two people are dead after being hit by a tractor-trailer semi-unit Thursday morning.

Corporal Craig Douglass says RCMP responded to the call just after 7:00 that the two were hit on the corner of 22nd Ave. and Nicholson St., where both were found deceased.

The driver of the semi remained at the scene.

He says the intersection will be closed for most of the day.

Few other details are being released, though Douglass says a Coroner and Collision Re-constructionist are on the way.
