Two females from PG will compete on the Olympic biathlon stage

Exactly 20% of Canada’s Olympic biathlon team comes from Prince George!

Both Megan Tandy and Sarah Beaudry have been named to the 2018 Canadian Biathlon team set to compete at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea next month.

This will be third Olympics for the 29-year-old Tandy and first for the 23-year-old Beaudry.

PG native, 20-year-old snowboard cross specialist Meryeta O’Dine will also participate in the Olympics.

The 2018 Games will be held February 9th to 25th, with biathlon events taking place from February 10th to 23rd.

The 10 athletes named by the Canadian Olympic Committee and Biathlon Canada to compete from Canada in South Korea are (in alphabetical order):
