Former mayor candidate looks at council table

Getting a handle on the city’s debt is one key focus for Prince George City Council Candidate Alex Huber. The 21 year resident of PG says the problems the city faced three years ago have not gone away.

“Our debt keeps piling up,” says Huber, “we’ve spent now just as much servicing our debt as we do on road infrastructure, and I think we have a moral obligation to our children and grandchildren to not mortgage their lives any further.”

Huber has sat on several city hall committees including the cultural and international linkages groups. He did run for mayor in 2011, and placed 3rd with 1200 votes. He currently self employed and is the President of the BCNE Board.
