The Prince George Spruce Kings are on the road to Wenatchee, looking for a shot at their first BCHL title in franchise history.
The team was sent off today by more than 100 fans, young and old, rallying at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA), cheering in hopes of big wins and safe travels.
Life-long fan and Spruce Kings’ concession volunteer Richard Papp is grateful to see so much support from the community in the team’s quest for history.
“We’ve been feeling the crowd, the atmosphere, and the electricity here at all of these sold-out games. It’s just amazing to see how Prince George is turning out for this team and seeing the support that Prince George has for these guys.”

Game One of the Fred Page Cup Final series starts Friday night in the United States, a more than 1,000-kilometre journey to get to the Wild.
Nova Scotia native and new Spruce Kings fan Gail Sommers says she can’t wait for the Finals to return to the Northern capital.
“Defenseman Chays ruddy, number four, is my favorite player on the team, and I wish them all the best and I hope they travel safely of course. I think they’re going to take it in five games because the last hockey series they played, they won it in five. So, go Kings go!”
Games Three and Four go for Monday and Tuesday at the RMCA with 7PM puck-drops.
