Cousins canvasses for communication

The head of the Prince George Teachers Union is wanting more and better communication with the school board.

PG District Teachers Association President Tina Cousins wants to discuss specific issues with trustees.

She says this revolved around the big issues that teachers deal with, like class size and composition, as well as other issues within the classroom.

“We don’t get that an opportunity to speak with the board on a regular basis about it,” says Cousins, “it might be once a year or it might be twice a year, but we need to feel like we have a liaison, which is the process that set out but it hasn’t been working for us.”

Cousins says this way she wouldn’t have to out big issues they are dealing with.
