City Council Preview: April 16th, 2018

The United Way of the Lower Mainland is the lone delegation on the April 16th, 2018, agenda. Provincial Director Kahir Lalji will present to council, sharing initiatives over the last two years aimed at bringing together the Community Based Senior’s Sector.

Councillor Garth Frizzell could soon be more involved with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. A report from Mayor Lyn Hall resolves to endorse Frizzell to stand for election on the FCM Board of Directors for the period starting in June 2018 and ending June 2019.

Seven bylaws are up for final reading and adoption including the 6th Avenue and George Street A&T Road Closure Bylaw and repealing the Prince George Manufactured Home Park Bylaw.

An update to the city’s Bike to Work and School Week 2018 will also be made.
